Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "App" or "SquareLink" — the SquareLink desktop application for Windows.
• "Operator" — the developer and distributor of SquareLink.
• "User" or "you" — any person who purchases or uses SquareLink.
• "FTMS Trainer" — a smart bike trainer that supports the Fitness Machine Service Bluetooth profile.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SquareLink on your own computer(s) for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the application
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose

3. Purchases & Refunds

SquareLink is sold as a one-time purchase through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. All payment processing, invoicing, and tax handling is managed by Lemon Squeezy.

Refund requests are handled according to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. If you experience issues with the application, please contact us at support@squarelinkapp.com before requesting a refund so we can attempt to resolve the problem.

4. Intellectual Property

SquareLink, its code, design, logo, and associated materials are the intellectual property of the Operator. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved. "Elite Square" is a trademark of Elite S.r.l. "Zwift", "Rouvy", and "MyWhoosh" are trademarks of their respective owners. SquareLink is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SquareLink is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee compatibility with all FTMS trainers or cycling applications beyond those explicitly stated. Bluetooth connectivity depends on your hardware, drivers, and operating system.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of SquareLink, including but not limited to damage to equipment, loss of data, or personal injury during training.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application.

7. Assumption of Risk

Indoor cycling training involves physical exertion and inherent risks. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your equipment is properly set up and that you are physically fit to engage in cycling activities. Always follow your trainer manufacturer's safety guidelines.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SquareLink shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Operator's jurisdiction.
