Introduction

SquareLink ("we", "our", "the app") is a Windows desktop application that bridges Elite Square cycling controllers to FTMS-compatible smart trainers via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This privacy policy explains how we handle your data — or more accurately, how we don't.

Data We Collect

None. SquareLink collects zero personal data. The application:

  • Does not require an internet connection
  • Does not transmit any data to external servers
  • Does not include analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind
  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not require account creation

Local Storage

SquareLink stores the following files locally on your computer:

  • config.json — Your gear mapping preferences, FTP setting, and power zones. This file never leaves your machine.
  • squarelink.log — A local log file for debugging purposes. This file is never transmitted anywhere.

Both files are stored in the application directory and can be freely deleted at any time.

Bluetooth Communication

SquareLink communicates with your Elite Square controller and FTMS trainer over local Bluetooth Low Energy. All BLE communication happens directly between your computer and your devices — no data passes through any external server or cloud service.

Purchases

SquareLink is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase SquareLink, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and handles all transaction data according to their privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).

This Website

This website (squarelinkapp.com) is a static site. It does not use cookies, does not run analytics, and does not collect any personal information. No data is stored on our servers when you visit this site.

Children's Privacy

SquareLink does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Given that we collect no data, material changes are unlikely.
